Kara Goucher

Kara Goucher is a professional runner, inspirational mentor, proud mother, and loving wife. She graduated from the University of Colorado with three Division I NCAA championships in cross-country, the 3000m, and 5000m. She is a two-time Olympian, an American record holder, World Championships bronze medalist, and one of the most accomplished female distance runners of all time.

When Kara decided to end her Nike sponsorship early in 2014, sign with Oiselle, and to move back to Boulder, Colorado, ModCraft became the innovator of a new type of business model for the running industry. Kara called on ModCraft to provide comprehensive management of her personal brand, including media relations, sponsorships, marketing, public appearances, and social community at karagoucher.com.

ModCraft raises awareness of Kara’s personal brand by matching her with the right partners and by attracting editors and inspiring audiences with her personal stories.

ModCraft created buzz by introducing Kara, with Oiselle, to the Wall Street Journal and various running publications, by placing her on the Soleus Elite Running Team, by launching her marketing partnership with Nuun, and by featuring her runway debut in Oiselle’s New York Times coverage of NOLCHA Fashion Week.

In 2014, Kara captured the covers of Runner’s World, Women’s Running, and Competitor, and appeared in a New York Times feature and Good Morning America TV interview on running during pregnancy.
